Edison

One company that could hire me would be Southern California Edison. This is the biggest electricity company in California. Here I could become a lineman and work my way up. I would eventually be able to become a journeyman, which is the supervisor of the project.

DWP

Another place I can work at is the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. In this company I can do the same process, or I can work in one of their many other fields. They also have fields that would relate more to my major. I could also be a receptionist here to work with the clients to improve to company, its programs, and the city

Legends or Nike

One of these companies could give me an internship to get my foot in the door. I would want to work in the fashion design section of the company. I feel like my creations in clothing and my style could create a new trend that would benefit their company as well. I would also start to network with people who could help me with my stores.

Jaime Varela

I would benefit from an internship with him because he is a journeyman for Southern California Edison at their Compton branch. I would go with him to project sites and see first-hand what the workday consists of for a lineman. In addition, I can ask about the process of getting accepted to the Edison program and what their physical test and other test are like.

Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh is a well-known fashion designer. He has had many collabs with very popular brands and a lot of his work is very known. He can give me insight on what it took for him to reach this position and even tell me where some of his inspirations come from.

One of the biggest benefits I would have to become a lineman would be going to a trade school for electrical work. This will give me majority of the knowledge I need to become a lineman. In addition, it will be some experience with linework and some of the safety precautions. I also want to find a way to get my foot in the door with fashion and being a fashion designer. This could help me make a line of clothing or even shoes that could start a new trend. I am aiming to be very successful in many different things. I want to do something that hasn’t done before while at the same time being able to do everything I want.
